Our story

Celebrating Our Heritage, Educating Future Generations

Founded on September 17, 1966, our Polish School began with just 99 students and a mission to preserve Polish language, culture, and traditions for future generations.

As we celebrate our 60th anniversary in 2026, more than 350 students are enrolled this academic year. Over six decades, thousands of students, teachers, and families have made our school a vibrant, close-knit Polish-American community.

From our earliest days to today, our shared love for Poland has remained at the heart of everything we do.

What makes us who we are

Our Mission, Community & Traditions

01 /

Our Mission

We inspire young generations to embrace their Polish heritage through education, cultural experiences, and community involvement. Students learn to read, write, and communicate in Polish while discovering Poland's history, literature, geography, and traditions. Our language builds a bridge between generations.

02 /

Our Educational Community

Since 1981, we have been a member of the Polish Supplementary Schools Council of America (CPSD), which works closely with the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York to support Polish education and cultural identity in the United States.

03 /

Celebrating Polish Pride and Traditions

Our students participate in patriotic celebrations and community events, including the annual Pulaski Day Parade in New York City. These experiences nurture belonging, patriotism, unity, respect, and lasting ties to Polish roots.
